Reinier began with a simple mission: serve Cuban pizza that tasted like home and treat every guest like family. What followed was not one sudden leap, but years of work, learning and the courage to begin again whenever a new opportunity appeared.
This is the road from that first trailer to the three locations that make up Blasys today: Waters, Causeway and the Hillsborough restaurant.
Port Richey
The menu was short and the space was small. But every pizza served became a conversation, a lesson and a chance to earn another family's trust. The Cuban flag beside the trailer said, without words, where the flavor came from and how much pride stood behind it.
Waters Avenue
At Waters, Blasys put down roots. The menu became sharper and more guests returned for the pizza, milkshakes and warm service. There we learned that real growth is not measured only in sales: it is measured in names you remember and people who return.
Waters Avenue
A growing community demanded more from us. We sold our small trailers and invested in a much larger one, gaining more kitchen space, better organization and the capacity to serve many more people efficiently. That step made Waters a stronger operation, and the large blue trailer remains one of our three locations today.
Blasys Ice Cream & Churros
Ice cream, churros, coffee and desserts opened another window—literally and figuratively—for the family. The dessert concept did not leave pizza behind: it taught us that experience could become new ideas, each with its own identity and the same care for every guest.
Hillsborough Avenue
Hillsborough became another decisive step. What began on wheels started taking the shape of a restaurant experience: more room, a broader menu and a place where the community could stay, share and celebrate.
Fruit Garden
Fruit, juices, familiar products and flavors brought Fruit Garden to life. It was no longer only about expanding a menu, but about creating different spaces around one shared promise: quality, warmth and a piece of our culture in Tampa.
Causeway · Brandon
Opening on Causeway expanded our reach and brought Blasys Cuban pizza to a new community. With a trailer built for the daily pace and an outdoor seating area, Brandon became the second active location in this stage of growth.
Hillsborough · Restaurante
After years of cooking on wheels, that dream found walls, a larger kitchen and a patio where people could stay. The Hillsborough restaurant became much more than another location: it was visible proof of everything learned since Port Richey. Today Blasys lives in three Tampa locations, but we still cook with the mindset of the first little trailer: care for every order and never take a single guest for granted.
The restaurant changed the table
Reaching the restaurant also allowed us to go beyond the service window with kitchen-made dishes, steaks, pasta, burgers and appetizers to enjoy around the table.
Blasys today
Waters, Causeway and Hillsborough represent three stages of the journey: growing on wheels, reaching a new community and finally opening the doors to our restaurant.
The chapter we are living now
Waters, Causeway and Hillsborough are not the end of the story. They are proof of the road already traveled and the responsibility to keep doing things right.
